The concept for Bundle was born last winter after owner, Allison MacCullough, spent several cold Saturday mornings searching Manhattan for the perfect gift for her dear friend Christine's new baby girl. Surprised and frustrated by the dull mass-market collections and the extremely overpriced alternatives, she decided to leave her Wall Street career and open a children's clothing boutique.
A leap into the unknown? Hardly. Like any New York City girl, Allison spent her weekdays working and her weekends shopping. And as more friends began having children, her shopping focus shifted from herself to children and she was surprised at how limited her options were in what's supposed to be one of the shopping capitals of the world. No one offered hip, stylish merchandise for children that wouldn't totally break the bank. So Allison decided to open Bundle.
Allison has personally picked out every piece of clothing and gift in the store. The merchandise consists of soft, wearable fabrics, in fun prints, like stripes, plaids and florals. There are lots of cozy knits in colors that reflect the bright and wonderful personalities of children. Allison and the Bundle team often find themselves saying "I wish they made this in my size!" about much of the merchandise. It is as stylish as what we'd wear ourselves, only with a little extra sweetness for the little ones!
