To become a Certified Financial Planner™ is a rigorous and extensive process. It requires:

• Education: a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree plus the financial planning courses
• Examination: 10 hours over 3 days
• Experience: typically 3 years, directly related to financial planning
• Ethics
